Music and Lyrics

We watched Music and Lyrics last Tuesday when our professor gave us a free cut. I enjoyed watching the movie because of the great story. Hugh Grant is a great actor, and he's hot too, for an old guy. Drew Barrymore acted well too. I have always liked her movies before, and the same goes for this movie.

Here were some of the songs from the movie..

I’ve been living with a shadow overhead
I’ve been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I’ve been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past, I just can’t seem to move on

I’ve been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need em again someday
I’ve been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh

I’ve been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I’ve been searching but I just don’t see the signs
I know that it’s out there
There’s got to be something for my soul somewhere
I’ve been looking for someone to shed some light
Not just somebody just to get me throught the night
I could use some direction
And I’m open to your suggestions

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end
There are moments when I don’t know if it’s real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration Not just another negotiation

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I’m hoping you’ll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I’ll be there for you in the end

2nd GIMP image

here's my second GIMP edited image..now that sir yuv will be checking the things we've done, i realized that i wasn't able to post my 2nd GIMP image..so here it is...

a picture of Jessie from Full House..

and here's the edited pic...

1) i duplicated the layer by clicking the "duplicate" icon on the layers, channels, dialog box

2)i used the gaussian blur Filters-->Blur-->Gaussian blur and then i experimented to find the good values of the picture by clicking on the image and then at the dialog box, i used 7 pixels.

3) i inverted the colors of the image on Layer-->Colors-->Invert

4)i adjusted the layer's opacity to 50%

5)with the two layers visible, i highligted the first layer and then right click, merge down

6)back to the image,i used to adjust the colors again by Layer-->Colors-->Levels, i set the input levels to 100 (at the left) and 155 (at the right)

7)to make the background image white, on the image again, Layer-->Colors-->Levels and then i set the input levels to 39 at the left, 0.95 at the middle and 128 at the right.

8)and then, i used the color picker from the GIMP Toolbar to select the color white from the image.

9)and then i clicked the brush, and erased some marks from her face to achieve the clean sketch effect.

that's it.by the way i used this tutorial to achieve the sketch effect.

Princess Hours curiosity..

right now i love watching Princess Hours every night (except for the long commercials in between!). and since our dvd player is a wreck, i really don't have any choice but to watch it at night. anyway, i was curious about it so while surfing the net, i searched for an image of Yoon Eun Hye (janelle). and goodness, i was shocked to see some daring photos of her. very far from her sweet and bubbly character in princess hours!

take a look!

this is her "sweet and wholesome" look from princess hours..

and these were (maybe) her fashionista side..

and these were the daring ones..

Ben Stiller, you rock!

yesterday, we watched Night at the Museum at RP..Ben stiller was very funny and we were laughing (almost) the whole time! its a good thing that krissie agreed to watch it again with us! *thanks krissie!:)* the whole movie was entertaining and the effects were great. you would not see any "butas" with the whole story.

for me, the movie has a message. and that message is that, when we are visiting a museum, we should treat the things there with respect. like don't touch it or do anything with it. we should just appreciate the beauty and admire all the achievements of those "things" displayed in the museum. because who knows? they may be alive at night....

if you wanna laugh, check out this movie!:)

my frustration!

i hate our dvd player right now! its malfunctioning hehe well its because of me...it does not read all my discs!waah! grrr!! i really hate it! i don't know what to do.. i love watching my dvds especially during wednesdays when i don't have any class..my dvd player is my savior from boredom!!!hehe instead of going out (which involves CASH), i prefer staying at home..and wait until the sun comes down!! hehe the lifestyle of a bum!

but right now..i don't really have anything to do but surf the internet!! i miss watching my dvds..especially now that i finally had a copy of princess hours..i really want to watch it! coz if i watch at night, abs-cbn plays a lot of commercials! (but i am still watching at night!hehe)

anyway..that's my frustration..i hope our dvd player will work again soon! especially this friday, no web design!

Christian Louboutin shoes

There is only one shoe designer whose footwear is instantly recognisable just from the soles. What makes Christian Louboutin's shoes stand out, besides their exquisite quality, fine craftsmanship, sexy high heels and quirky designs, is the glossy nail-varnish red sole that has become his trademark. ""I want to make shoes that are like jewels,"" Louboutin explains. ""Shoes are more than just an accessory; they are an extension of a woman,"" And when that woman just happens to be Diane von Furstenberg, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Madonna, Louboutin fans one and all, he is surely on to a good thing.

I love his shoes. His designs range from the classic ones, to the modern ones. I love the red soles present on his shoes. Whenever you'll see a pair of red soled shoes on Hollywood stars, you could confirm that they are wearing Louboutin shoes! :)

Here are some of his designs!
