My wishlist of BAGS..

3 days of classes were suspended..so what would i do?there is a typhoon outside stealing all the "yero" roof of other people's houses, landslides "sliding" here and there, there's flood which could substitute as a swimming pool for everyone..with grey waters and leptos pirosis (not sure about the spelling!)...i am glad there were no classes because it has somehow relieved me of the stress from org stuffs...but i thought of our B.A. week, and all the preparations..and its sad...

anyway..as i said...i had nothing to do..so i just surfed the internet..and what else am i surfing?! bags and shoes..and i found bags which were really eye-candies! but since they are so expensive..how the hell could i own them..?! may be in the future, but not now..but that hindrance would not stop me from admiring these works of art!:)

Miu Miu Patent Effect Tote from Net-a-porter---kinda like j-ann's red bag

LV Monogram denim neo cabby MM-(when could i ever own one?!)

Marc Jacobs Silver Carolyn tote

LV Neverfull MM! while we were eating at Teriyaki Boy last Wednesday, we saw a woman carrying an LV bag. i actually took a picture of her! haha. we (Rosel, Carol, Mabel and me) wondered if its authentic. i think its authentic! haha because i realized that its a Neverfull bag. OMG. i can't believe i would actually see one LIVE! haha

Kokology: the game of self-discovery

i bought this new book called Kokology: the game of self-discovery by Tadahiko Nagao and Isamu Saito..According to the book, Kokology is a series of psychological games designed to reveal your HIDDEN attitudes about sex, family, love, work and more. i read a review from a magazine (can't remember which one) that this is a very entertaining book..so when i went to national bookstore, i tried to find this book..and well..like i said..i bought it...

the author gave some tips on how to play Kokology.. i think the most important tip was that "Say the first thing that pops into your head..". and i realized that some of the interpretations were accurate, surprisingly! haha i enjoyed reading it so much..so much that i was able to finish reading it in one day!

i read it alone..and then i realized that it would be more fun if i read it with my friends..i tried to ask some of the questions to my friend, Lisa..and we were laughing the whole time..and she also told me that it was accurate..or maybe we never realized that, that was our feelings or approach on things! i highly recommend this book!

here's one of the games.."Adrift on the breeze"..another tip to the game is that, you imagine yourself in a certain situation and then, among the choices, choose one which you will do..

"Can you still remember those long summer days when school was out, you had no responsibilities, and there was nothing but time from when you woke up till the sun finally went down? time for play and adventure, time to daydream and roam. Hours spend on childhood diversions...flying kites...watching clouds..blowing bubbles..."

"Imagine you are out again on a childhood summer's day, blowing bubbles in an open field. Which of the following best describes the scene you imagined?

1. The bubbles you blow float away high into the sky.
2. You are blowing hundreds of tiny bubbles through your plastic ring.
3. You're concentrating on blowing a single enormous bubble.
4. The bubbles you make are carried behind you on the breeze.

i chose the first one..and it says that "the shimmering bubbles you blow in your imagination are symbols of your hopes and dreams. The scene you described reveals how you think about the dreams you hope someday will come true."

again, i chose the first one..it says that "You see your own dreams as elusive and unattainable, flying away from you like soap bubbles on the wind. Maybe you're wishing for too much, too soon or are caught up in an impossible fantasy. Whatever the case may be, the gap between your dreams and reality is wide. As much as you may like to tell others of your grand schemes and plans for the future, somewhere inside yourself is a voice telling you just how fragile and fleeting those dreams are."

with that interpretation..i could say that yeah..i have big dreams that i don't think will ever come true haha...i don't know if i am being realistic hehe..but that's it..enough about that..

you will be enjoying this book!:) you will be surprised at the hidden meanings of your answers..you may think that it will be like a psychological test..but no, this is a whole lot better! and more fun...:)

Lindsay Lohan's Jimmy Choo Mahala bag

during our international trade class last july 28, rosel gushed to me "cess alam mo yung bag ni lindsay lohan na blue? ang ganda!" and i replied "ay oo!" haha..i guessed that it was a jimmy choo bag, but i am not sure..so i googled it..and after a couple of tries, (instead of listening to our prof), i found the bag! and yeah, i am right! haha it was a jimmy choo!:) thanks to purseblog..

these photos of lindsay were taken before her arrest..what is in lindsay's mind right now?denying that she was drunk..oh c'mon! but i don't really care..i used to like her because of the Parent trap, freaky friday and mean girls..but she took her role seriously and became a mean girl in real life! tsk tsk..she has everything...sayang siya!

anyway one factor that still draws me to lindsay lohan is her choice of handbags...since she's always followed by the paparazzi, you could see that she always have a new handbag..lucky her..but only on that aspect...haha

High Heel Racing

i never knew there was such a thing called High Heel Racing! i read this from Manolo's Shoe blog..i think that would be pretty cool and amusing..but reality sinks in that an average person cannot run on a pair of stilleto heels right? so with this racing comes an admiration of those women who could actually make that thing happen..which is to run on a pair of heels...

if you want to sprain your ankle, then join in this kind of race!!!

The prizes of Glamour magazine's stilleto race were 10, 000 Euros, 2,000 and 1000 euros..wow..enough for a shopping spree!

it started in Europe and i read that it is also done in Washington D.C..

Check out this clip from Berlin..where another high heel racing was conducted...

Ms. Buncio..where are you?

it has been a month since we last saw ms. buncio on our class...its not nice anymore..during the first week when she was absent, we were so happy that we had some picture-picture moments at the classroom...but since last week, she's still absent..and according to dj, she was hospitalized..OMG...is it that fatal? haha to even use the word fatal to describe her situation is fatal itself..but you know...we want to have Rizal classes already!

what's worse is that, since she's gone for a month, i think our make up classes would be the worst! where would she get our grades..waah...i think she would require us to write about a thousand papers about Jose Rizal...no!!!!!she should return already..hope she gets well soon..

Reminiscing Web Design..

today, its a Saturday...free cut from business law..my blockmates and i planned to attack sir yuv..because we want to surf the net desperately..we were currently deprived of that luxury...so we thought of going to the e-business lab, but they said that sir buen is having his class there..so we went to the 3rd flr, at the computer lab and look for sir yuv..but still he wasn't there...we asked the janitor about entering the room, but i think he rejected the idea..

so while waiting outside the computer lab, there was the ipis incident of tibi....and then we were able to go inside the computer lab...after a few minutes of laughter (still because of the ipis incident), there was a loud rumbling coming from the wall...and the wall was suddenly cracking...and we were screaming (most of us!)...and there stood sir yuv together with his 3rd year students!!!!

haha..anyway sir yuv is so kind to accomodate us in his class even though we're just there to bum..and to surf the net..i remember those days when we were still taking our webdesign class every friday..from 12 nn to 5pm...before, we used to despise the fact that we have a five-hour class...but at the end of the semester that was our favorite subject of all time!!!!!!!!!

because of that class, my blogger account was born..as well as other accounts from explode, elggspaces, mybloglog, technorati....

so today, we are reminiscing the "feel" or the "ambience" of our 5-hour webdesign class..how i wish we'll have another class where we could just surf the net while learning!

Louis Vuitton ads..

whenever i browse through fashion magazines like Vogue, InStyle, Preview and Mega, the whole package would never be complete without a Louis Vuitton ad. Most of the time, i noticed that LV ads are placed either in the first page (the moment you open the cover of the mag) or at least within the first 10 pages..

anyway, i simply adore LV ads. Everytime i see those ads, my mouth just waters with the handbags modeled! the words coming out of my mouth are ''WOW!", "Oh my God!", "Ang ganda!"...waah..can't help but drool on those bags! And daydream, when in the future would i be able to buy an LV bag!

what does it take to be a model or spokesperson for LV? How will the ads be?

Before (2003), Louis Vuitton or any other luxury brands do not use Hollywood celebrities to advertise their products, instead they use supermodels. For example at this ad, British supermodel Gemma Ward was chosen to be the one!
And then the celebrity trend of endorsers started with Scarlett Johannson, Christina Ricci and Jennifer Lopez. JLo's ad were viewed as very sensual, the ones with the male model Andres Segura.

then, there was Uma Thurman, and surprisingly a male celebrity for LV which is Pharell Williams (wearing a wig!)...what the..?

When supermodel Kate Moss had a cocaine scandal in 2005, LV helped in making her comeback at the fashion world, through an ad of course! Here she was, modeling the (then) latest collection of LV bags with leopard prints..

My favorite LV ads were from last year's, this time with Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, who is an ex-girlfriend of Leonardo Di Caprio by the way. Anyway i love this ad because of the rich colors of the ad. It simply signifies summer!

And last but not the least, the current LV ad featuring one of my favorite Hollywood actresses, Scarlett Johansson. It looks really girly because of the color pink, and kind of cherubic!

i noticed that LV ads always evoke sophistication, glamour, elegance and fashion itself. Anyway for more about LV, check out Tibi's blog.

Pirates of the Carribean

Have you seen the third installment of Pirates?I love it! Actually i don't have that much knowledge on critiquing a film, but i appreciate it so much coming from an ordinary person's point of view. For me, this film helped the careers of Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley as well.

Johnny Depp has been acting since i don't know when..but all i know is that he's such a great actor playing weird roles from movies like Edward Scissorhands, Finding Neverland, Sleepy Hollow, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. With numerous movies that he made (including those that i was not able to mention), did not have that much impact on the public the way Capt. Jack Sparrow did. With Pirates, he was really something, you could never ever forget Capt. Jack Sparrow. I could not imagine any other actor playing that role. The way he walks and talks in this film (kind of like a drunkard) really helped him create the happy go-lucky character of Jack Sparrow.

Okay, there's Keira Knightley playing Elizabeth Swann. She's practically the only lady at the film. She transformed from a damsel-in-distress (in Pirates 1) to a fearless captain (in Pirates 3). But who was Keira Knightley before the Pirates trilogy? On Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Keira plays a handmaiden that disguises herself as Queen Amidala, who is portrayed by Natalie Portman. At 16, she had a football movie called Bend it like Beckham, she did the first Pirates movie at 17! Wow..Imagine at 17, you have the chance to work with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom! Anyway, i find her really pretty (but she has crooked teeth) and suitable to play the role of Elizabeth Swann. The Pirates trilogy also helped Keira become a famous actress.

Last but not the least is Orlando Bloom who played Will Turner, Elizabeth's love interest. We first noticed his hotness during the Lord of the Rings trilogy while playing the elf Legolas. Who could forget his long blonde hair at that movie right? Anyway he had a lot of films after that like Elizabethtown, Kingdom of Heaven, Ned Kelly and Black Hawk Down, but he's still famous for being Legolas and now, Will Turner. I love Orlando Bloom, i hope he will continue in making films, but is he really gay? Anyway for me, he's a good actor and that's all that matters...

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

i am currently reading this book called Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki (instead of studying for Business Law during my free time!)..it is meant to teach you what the author calls "financial literacy". the cover says "WHAT THE RICH TEACH THEIR KIDS ABOUT MONEY--that the poor and middle class do not!"..catchy huh?i love reading books..most of the books that i have read were written by Paulo Coelho and Nicolas Sparks (so cheesy, i know..) and what made me read this book?

when i got my first allowance from my ojt at IBM Business Services, after a week, i have none left! where did my cash in hand went?and well, i bought a bag from People R People,..and i treated my family for pizza at yellow cab...and my money was gone with the wind..i said to myself, if that would always happen to me when i am already working, then i am in a very big trouble..oh gosh..i can't buy luxuries all the time right?so i heard that this book will teach you how to become rich...

i am now in page 126, and i already learned things about money...like to be rich, "use your money to buy an asset and minimize buying liabilities"..what exactly is an asset?the book says "an asset is something that puts money into your pocket" and as for liability "it is something that takes money out of your pocket"..those kind of ideas..

how can you say that a person is wealthy?i found this definition from the book..that the author quoted from a man named Buckminster Fuller, and it says "Wealth is a person's ability to survive so many number of days forward.." or it simply means, "if i stopped working today, how long could i survive?"..the last line, i would apply it to myself by asking "if my parents stop giving me allowances today, how long could i survive?" oh gosh..i guess i would only survive for 2 days! scary!

so right now, i am trying my best to save money and minimize expenses..coz i don't want to struggle financially! hopefully after reading this book, i could think of something, a business, that would help me earn money...

Witch Yoo Hee

i love watching korean dramas, but it is sad to say that i don't watch the current kdrama of abs-cbn which is entitled "Which star are you from?"..some friends of mine are watching it, and they find it cool..and they ask me, "why are you not watching it?", i guess that question involves curiosity. i love kdramas, and i am not watching that one?! anyway, these past months, ever since i had my ojt, i don't watch tv anymore...how pathetic right? its just that, i don't have the energy anymore to watch tv shows..i'd rather sleep...because i need to get up early for the next morning...anyway, for the past 2 months, really..i have no idea what are the events in the current tv soaps...

but there is this one korean drama that i would really watch once it will be aired here in the philippines..it is called Witch Yoo Hee..i saw the first 3 episodes of this korean drama through crunchyroll, and i totally love it..even before this drama was shown in south korea, i am really excited to see it because its cast include Jae Hee (from Sassy girl chunhyang--my fave korean drama ever..) and Kim Jeong Hoon (Troy or Yul from Princess Hours, another fave kdrama!)! imagine, two of your favorite korean stars in one korean drama, now that's something! the cast also includes Ahn Suk Hwan (Julian's uncle from My Girl), Byun Hee Bong (Julian's grandfather in My Girl) and Jo Kye Hung (Jasmine's guy friend from My Girl)..oh gosh...its like my girl part 2!

the director of this drama is Jeon ki sang, the same director behind My Girl and Sassy Girl Chunhyang, because of that i am motivated than ever to watch this drama...so you could expect the humor of My Girl!

the story is about Ma Yoo Hee (Han Ga In), as the director of her father's advertising company, she is known as a witch for her ruthless, no nonsense character. After a string of failed attempts to hire a housekeeper, she (literally) runs into Chae Moo Ryong (Jae Hee), ex-medical student turned aspiring chef. As a way to work off his debt for crashing into her car, he agrees to become her housekeeper and personal love affairs coach for one month. Gladly, he gives her a makeover that attracts both her old friend Johnny Kruger (Dennis Oh) and her first love Joon Ha (Kim Jeong Hoon). Despite having a girlfriend, Sung Mi (Jun Hye Bin), Moo Ryong eventually finds himself falling for Yoo Hee.

i really wish that ABS-CBN would be the one to show this drama here in the Philippines..i could not really watch it continuously right now because i am using a dial-up connection..and hello good luck! i only get to watch it at the internet cafe...so i really hope that it will be shown here in the Philippines already!

Lip gloss addiction!

well not everyone notices my addiction..but i am really addicted to lip glosses..and not just to ordinary lip glosses in the market..i am addicted to the ones that are ridiculously expensive..i know that may sound absurd to many...you know, spending unreasonable bucks for a lip gloss! how crazy! but well, that's me...can't help it..it is totally better to be addicted with lip gloss rather than with drugs right?

anyway like i said, i am willing to spend big bucks just for a tube of a good quality lip gloss..and i actually know a few ones in the market(a little expensive)with superb quality...

my favorite lip gloss of all time is DuWop's Venom Gloss..

it has this stingy feeling when you apply it for the first time, but after a few uses, your lips will get used to the stingy feeling. This lip gloss is described as "to enhance your lips". it costs about P900..

Next is Lancome Juicy Tubes. I try to use this lip gloss occassionally because this is the most expensive that i have bought so far. i have one in fraise (strawberry), and its quite good. It stays on your lips for hours. The one that i bought has glitters so its too fancy to be used for school!

While Rosel and I were strolling at BeautyBar, i came across this lip gloss..or (the label said) lip plumper, i was attracted by the nice reddish color (the fifth in the picture) and tried it on. It has the same stingy feeling that Duwop Venom gloss has, but this one is stronger! I also noticed that its not so sticky like other lip glosses. I wanted to buy it but when i saw the price (P995), WAAH! wla akong budget!

Clinique Impossibly Glossy Lip Gloss..without looking at the tag price i knew that this one is expensive..since this brand is exclusively available at Rustan's only..and hello can you find something cheap at Rustan's?
so about the lip gloss, this one's intended for those who have sensitive skin..that's why their products are fragrance-free..anyway, i just love the color of this gloss...but i don't adore the price!but who knows?Pag tinopak ako, i will buy one! hehe
Rosel tried one too, and it looks good on her, so with that i guess if you have the funds, there would not be any hesitations on buying this one!

Forced marriages, my favorite koreanovela theme.

i have always been fond of watching korean dramas or koreanovelas because of the funny antics of the main characters, the catchy story lines, and its wholesome package. i started watching out for new koreanovelas after i watched Lovers in Paris years ago.

i have noticed in some of koreanovelas i have seen, they tend to have the "forced marriage" formula into the story. And i find myself putting these dramas with "forced marriage" on my favorite list of kdramas.

Sweet 18 is about the story of a high school student named Yoon Jung Sook (Han ji hye) who was bethroted to the prosecutor Kwon Hyuk Joon. They are both from 2 traditional clans, who planned their marriage to strengthen the relationship of those two clans.

Full House is about an aspiring writer, Han ji eun (Song hye kyo) who returned from China without knowing that her best friends sold her house. And the one who bought it was the superstar, Lee Young Jae (Rain). Since she has no assets left, she had a contract marriage with Lee Young jae so that she could still hold on to her house which is the only thing that her father left her.

Sassy girl chunhyang is the modern interpretation of the Legend of Chunhyang. It is about two high school students, Lee Mong ryong (Jae hee) and Sung Chun hyang (Han chae young) who were forced to marry each other because they spent a night with each other. They were still forced to marry each other even though nothing happened that night.

Princess Hours is about an ordinary high school girl, Shin Chae-gyung (Yoon eun hye) who found herself bethroted to the Crown prince of Korea, Shin (Joo ji hoon). Shin's grandfather (the king) and Chae-gyung's grandfather (a servant) formed a friendship, and because of that, they decided their grandchildren to marry each other. Their marriage also celebrated the friendship between their grandfathers.

Well..if you have seen these dramas, then you could relate with me..All of them are pretty much the same with the "forced marriage" as the main focus of the stories. if you think about it, here in the Philippines, i don't think forced marriage happens that much(except for the chinese community). i have not really get to meet a Filipino who is involved in a forced marriage.

these korean dramas attract me to watch them because i want to see how the characters would fall in love with each other. and because of that, my fondness for koreanovelas grew because of my interest in this "forced marriage" formula.
